HIV / AIDS: What the Future Holds
When the first cases of what would later be known as AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) occurred, it was described as an acute illness with a horrible prognosis. Most people died within six months or less. No one knew how to prevent it, to keep it from spreading, to treat it, or even what caused it.
We have come a long way since then. We know now that HIV (Human Immune Deficiency Virus) is the cause of AIDS.
Holiday Food-Associated Illness
Food-associated illness ("food poisoning") is a common cause of nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. In most cases, the illness just runs its course leaving the sufferer feeling wiped out.

Keeping Babies Safe While They Sleep
It doesn't happen often. But once in a while, we hear about a baby who seems perfectly healthy when they are put down for a nap, who never wakes up. Infant deaths are particularly tragic for all involved. Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) claims many lives; accidents claim more.
Here are some guidelines for keeping baby safe.
