EARLY INTERVENTION

The Ontario County Early Intervention Program is a Federal and State mandated and County Department of Health administered program that provides services to eligible children with developmental delays, ages 0-3. There is no parent cost for this program. Anyone can make a referral to the program.

Do you have any concerns about your child's development? Do you have questions about whether or not his or her skills are developing similar to his/her peers? If so, and your child is age 0 - 2 1/2 maybe you should consider a referral to the Early Intervention Program (if over age 2-1/2, see Preschool Special Education) ; see the Early Intervention Services Matrix for services provided through this program. To make a referral or for more information, please call 585-396-4546 or 1-800-299-2995.

If you need assistance determining whether your child may have a developmental delay please consult the Developmental Skills Checklist.
