Programs and Services

A major function of Public Health is to link people to needed personal health services. To that end we are continuously looking at community resourses and assisting the public in identifying those that will serve them the best. When an area of need is identified that is not being met, we actively promote community partnerships to address them. In some instances, Public Health provides the service.

The following links give information regarding our services or provide additional links to other resources available in our community.

Children's Programs - There are services available for families with newborns, children with special needs, regular childhood immunizations, and pregnant women who do not have health insurance.

Men's Programs - This link provides information on screening and healthy behaviors as well as reliable links to community resources and web-based information.

Women's Programs - This link provides information on our programs for screening, health promotion as well as reliable links to community resources and web-based information.

General Health Programs - We provide information on general health as well as reliable links to web-based programs.

Health Education Programs - We provide or assist with connecting you to a variety of educational programs. The topics are as broad as your imagination.

Home Health Care - Medicare Certified Home Health Agency providing a variety of quality home care services.

Long Term Home Care - This program is an alternative to nursing home placement. Also included in this program is the provision of enhanced services for people with AIDS.

Clinics - See this link for immunization recommendations for children and adults. Childhood immunizations are available free of charge. Adult immunizations have minimal fees. This office does not provide travel immunizations.

For travel immunizations and information, Passport Health has a satellite office in Canandaigua. Please call 1-888-499-7277 for an appointment.
