Training Opportunities:

Psychological First Aid - An introduction to the concepts of Psychological First Aid and Workforce Resilience in preparation to provide compassionate care and emotional support during disasters and public health emergencies. It also provides a mechanism for supporting the individuals who provide help and assistance during disasters.

Incident Command Training - A required FEMA course for volunteers. Choose the IS-100 and NIMS-700. You should understand the Incident Command System (ICS) to effectively work with other POD volunteers and managers. Ontario County EmergencyManagement is planning local group trainings as well. Volunteers who are registered with Ontario County will be kept informed of these local group trainings.
